IPPB RESPIRATORY THERAPY

IPPB Therapie900x400

The proven intermittent positive pressure breathing (IPPB) therapy allows for treatment effects that today are referred to with terms such as secretion management, avoidance of end-expiratory collapse, and recruitment. The expansion of airways caused by IPPB loosens secretion membranes and supplies air to the pulmonary areas beneath them. The secretion is removed by ciliary motion and coughing. At the same time, atelectasis areas are reopened. Based on the activation of the integrated drug nebulizer, medications in aerosol form such as bronchodilators and secretolytics can be more easily distributed. Modern IPPB devices permit the infinite adjustment of variable expiratory resistance and manual activation of an inspiratory trigger criterion. The inspiratory oxygen supply can be adjusted for clinical respiratory therapy.

Application areas of the IPPB respirator therapy:

  • Intensive care units
  • IMC
  • General care units
  • Anethesia
  • Home care
